Grammar by the Month: March for 5th Grade is a set of worksheets that target specific 5th grade Common Core language standards and while including interesting historical or seasonal themes for the month of March.
Topics include capitals, capitals for titles of works, punctuation, comma usage (for a series, a tag question, to set off a word, for direct address, and for an introductory element), interjections, Latin/Greek root vocabulary, expanding/combining/reducing sentences, spelling grade level words, idioms, multiple meaning words, homographs, synonyms and antonyms, verb tenses and verb tense shifts. Each worksheet has the exact CCSS listed.

1 student cover sheet (if you want to make it into a packet)
There are enough worksheets here to do three a week (maybe Monday, Wednesday, or Friday) for the entire month.
They can be used as morning work, as a review, to reinforce new lessons, in centers, for small groups, for one on one help, or even as homework.
Topics are interesting for kids and thematic for the month of March, which makes it much more fun than your average grammar practice pages.
