This product requires various sealed, packaged food or other products that are labeled with the weight in grams or kilograms. I did not use empty packages because I wanted students to get a real experience of the mass. For example, I brought in a full box of cereal, a granola bar, a bag of chips, a box of graham crackers, etc.
I recommend placing the items in different places around your room and have students work in partners to walk around and choose the items they want to "buy". This activity if very fun and engaging for all students.
For differentiation, try to display products that have a variety of weights (2 grams to 2 kilograms). Students can calculate the measurement for the item they wish to "shop for". Early finishers can complete the challenge questions.
