This baseball-themed activity targets comparing and contrasting. This pack comes with two tools to use in sessions to teach and give support for the concept. It also comes with two sets of 16 compare/contrast pairs– one set in color and one printer-friendly set.
To teach/reinforce the concept, and give prompts as to traits to use in comparisons and contrasts, page 3 can be used. Print page 4 and laminate, and your kids can fill it in with a dry erase marker if they need that cue to make the connections. (You may have to guide them as to which syntax would work best for the explanation that would work best—depending on which description they are using to compare/contrast.)
Cut and laminate cards for re-use. Kids can play a matching game. In order to have a more productive session, have two “pools” the kids can draw from– one with mitts and one with gloves. This should increase the chances of a match!
