This file includes all of the materials needed for your students to create an unforgettable card for Grandparent's Day, which occurs on September 11th this year!! It would make a great writing center!
Front of Card:
Students draw a picture of their grandparent(s) on a seed packet.
Students write between 10 and 20 things they can find at their grandparents' house on the flower petals. They list both tangible objects (cookies, M&Ms, etc.) and abstract things (patience, support, hugs, etc.). Students also add clouds containing a message.
Back of Card:
Students glue a pot to the back of the card and tuck a list of memories that they share with their grandparents inside.
Do you have students who only have one surviving grandparent, or might not even have any grandparent that they can give their card to? There is an "alternate" file for those students. Alternate card covers contain the word Grandma's Garden, Grandpa's Garden, and ___________'s Garden.
Student-friendly directions (with photos) are included so that you can place the directions under your document camera, and students can refer to them as they complete the project.
Check out the PREVIEW to see ALL of the papers included in this file!
