PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

When discussing Grandparents' Day with my students, I love to start out by reading the books, "How to Babysit a Grandpa" and "How to Babysit a Grandma" written by Jean Reagan. These books introduce the creative aspects of "babysitting" our grandparents and keeping up with all of the things that they want to do throughout the day. Babysitting grandparents can be exhausting!

The attached document includes the directions and rubric that students will need to create their own, "How to Babysit a Grandma or Grandpa" story. The document very clearly outlines how students should approach this assignment. It also includes the point values for each of the sections, making grading nice and simple for you!

I have used this assignment with fourth graders but it can very easily be adapted for any age level!
