This unit includes 11 different graphing activities for students to practice graphing, tallying, and interpreting data. These activities are great for small groups, whole groups, stations, centers, and even homework.
Activity 1: (5 sets of data to graph!) Students tally, graph and answer questions based on picture cards and/or picture pages.
Activity 2: (6 Sets of data to graph!) Students roll a dice 10 times and tally the pictures. After they are done rolling the dice, students graph and answer questions about their data!
Common Core Standards:
1.MD.4: Organize, represent, and interpret data with up to three categories; ask and answer questions about the total number of data points, how many in each category, and how many more or less are in one category than in another.
2.MD.10 Draw a picture graph and a bar graph (with single-unit scale) to represent a data set with up to four categories. Solve simple put-together, take-apart, and compare problems1 using information presented in a bar graph.
