Generally the reading of graphs are fairly easy for students, as long as they are asked direct questions. Graphs become a bit more tricky when the words least, fewer, or combined become a part of the question.
By providing students with practice using Graph of the Day they are exposed to questions that can be answered directly from reading the graph, those tricky questions, and they also have to create a question of their own that can be answered using the given data.
Students practice reading and interpreting bar graphs, pictographs, and line plots.
