This Puzzle Match Activity is part of:
☑ 2017 Google Interactive Membership {GROWING BUNDLE} - Current & Future Products
This ❤ Google Interactive Activity ❤ is an engaging practice of "Graphing Equations using the Intercepts" . In this activity students will interact fully with it as they are given equations in standard form and asked to find the intercepts and graph these equations.
Students are expected to be familiar with:
☑ Finding the Intercepts (Both x- and y-intercept) from a given equation (Answers maybe integers or fractions)
☑ Identify the intercepts on a graph and make a line
How to Play?
Students will need to match with 9 puzzles. At the end, based on their matchings, students would have created a 3-letter word for each of the 9 puzzles provided. These words are different and self checking. Students would only need to share these words with you digitally or a printed copy (on the attached form). If you wish, you could also ask students to share the whole activity as I like to do.
This activity includes the followings:
☑ Instructions on how to obtain the Google Interactive Activity
☑ Instructions on how to perform the activity (with pictures)
☑ 9 questions on graphing using the intercepts
☑ A detailed illustrated example on how to answer the questions
☑ Answer Key
When to Use?
This activity is great to assign as a homework, in-class work, Bell Work, using Google Slides. My students are always engaged with Google Slides. This is FUN is the new motto in my classroom. When I assign an activity to be completed at home, some students use their computers, some use their phones, while others use their IPADs. As long as there is a Google Drive there is a way.
The answer key is included in the file. I usually share it when all assignments are turned in "Electronically"
