This 6 lesson mini-unit uses the Black Panther comic written by Ta-Nehisi Coates as a backdrop for discovering how multimedia can create emotional experiences for an audience.
The Black Panther comic is referenced and quoted in this unit, but no images are included. I'd recommend purchasing the comic on Comixology (Amazon affiliate). Their interface makes it really easy to project each frame on a whiteboard or smart board.
This is ideal for an urban classroom that has limited resources. The final project at the end does require some music composition--but it can easily be adapted to whatever format is understood in your classroom.
