This graphic organizer helps students who are struggling with identifying the characters, setting, and plot in stories. The picture symbols are a reminder of the types of information that belongs in the column. This graphic organizer will allow the students to be more independent.
Ideas for use:
*Depending on the student and his/her needs, the teacher can type/write the information that belongs in each column and have the student glue it where it goes as other students are expected to write in the columns.
*Laminate the graphic organizer and place velcro in each column. With each new story read as a group, the students can choose a typed out a teacher-made laminated strip with an answer on it, and place it on the velcro in the correct column.
