PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students will practice point of view through the study of Columbus' landing in 1492. Using the books Encounter by Jane Yolen and Pedro's Journal by Pam Conrad, students will see Columbus' journey through the eyes of his first mate and a young Taino boy.

This pack includes 3 graphic organizers, 1 map activity, and 3 writing activities: a diary entry, an editorial, and postcard writing. You will teach students how to use the organizers to gather facts and information they hear or read in the books These facts should be used to support their writing.
