Common Core Standards Included:
RL.3.1: I can ask and answer questions to show that I understand the text.
RL.3.2: I can retell stories, fables, folktales and myths. I can tell the main message.
RL.3.3: I can describe characters in a story and explain how their actions add to the events.
RL.3.4: I can determine the meanings of words and phrases and tell between literal and nonliteral language.
RL.3.5: I can refer to parts of stories and tell how each part builds on the other.
RL.3.6: I can tell my own point of view from that of the narrator’s or character’s point of view.
RL.3.7: I can tell how illustrations add to the story.
RL.3.9: I can compare and contrast stories written by the same author.
RL.3.10: I can read and comprehend stories at or beyond my grade level.
