As a modern world History teacher, it is frustrating to the school year teaching new content, when my students rarely have a background in ancient or medieval history. So, one of my first units is a snapshot of the World in 1500 C.E.
I have created a set of graphic organizers to briefly highlight the location, politics, economic, and social aspects of the major empires around the world at the time. Students will have the opportunity to color-code, outline, and take notes about the major civilizations in Pre-Columbian America, Europe, the Muslim World, and East Asia.
This .zip file contains a blank student copy and completed teacher copy for each of the regions described.
