These graphing activities were developed using generic language for the student pages so they can be used with a wide variety of graphing software. They were written and have been verified to work with Google Sheets, Excel, and Numbers (for Mac), but they would work with many other graphing programs, as well. They were designed to be used together as a cumulative software/graphing unit in which each chart builds on the tasks students learned in the previous lessons. They can be used with beginners (starting in fourth grade) through adult education students.
The packet includes student instruction pages for printing (two half-sheets per page), the teacher’s detailed instructions document, the original worksheet/file in each of the three program formats for every graph/chart, and PNG files for all the sample charts to use as instructional aids. Since Google Docs files reside in the cloud, a PDF and a link to the Google Drive folder containing the original worksheets is also included. The instruction pages are included as Word files (to allow for individualization and modification) and as PDFs.
