Graphing Activity - The Oreo Project

Description
This Oreo Project is a super fun and engaging activity for data collection and graphing that your students will remember as a highlight of the year.
There are 2 different activities included in this resource – The Oreo Stacking Challenge, and the Oreo Taste-Testing Challenge. Both activities have students involved in building authentic sets of data to use to make their graphs.
Through this activity, students will use their data to:
• find the mean, mode, median, and range of their data,
• create bar graphs, double bar graphs, pictographs, and circle graphs,
• analyze and communicate their findings about the data.
An assessment page with rubric is also included.
Not all pages/graphs need to be used for the activities, you can pick and choose to fit your class’s needs.
For the taste testing challenge, extra pages are included for the American and Canadian spellings (favorite flavors / favourite flavours). Print and use only what you need.
