Your students will LOVE graphing decimals on a number line with these four short exercises! All 165 of my students happily complied when I asked them to graph with pictures. Not one student asked "Do I HAVE to draw?" An added benefit is that you will have a fun time grading these, as their cute and creative pictures are sure to delight you! (My favorite was "dog wearing a sweater"...The pictures were adorable!)
Each half-page exercise has five problems instructing the students to draw a winter picture at a specified decimal point between zero and four. Each page also directs them to mark the fourths between each whole number to reinforce benchmark decimals. Use these as homework, a quick assessment, or a nice warm-up at the beginning of class.
