This powerpoint begins with a warm up where students use a table to create the graph of the equation. Next, students are asked to find the slope of the line they just graphed. This example is used to illustrate how the values in a slope intercept equation relate directly to the graph of the equation. Building on this, students are formally introduced to slope intercept form with an embedded video describing the process for graphing an equation using slope and intercept. There are multiple examples as well as opportunities for students to practice. The last two slides can be printed as handouts for the students to work along with the powerpoint.
