Description

Your Algebra 2 Honors students will have foldables, guided notes, homework, and a content quiz in the Exploring Exponential Models lesson of a six-lesson unit on Exponential and Logarithmic Functions that cover the concepts depth.

Students will be able to:

★ Describe, analyze, and model exponential growth

★ Describe analyze, and model exponential decay

★ Graph basic functions and solve real-life applications

The product includes everything you need to teach a rigorous lesson.

For notetaking you can choose between three options:

✎ Two options of an 8-page Bound-Book style Foldable™

  • OPTION 1: All vocabulary, rules, definitions are defined
  • OPTION 2: Vocabulary, rules, and definitions are left for students to complete and great for Interactive Notebooks, or

✎ Guided Notes

  • OPTION 3: A set of Guided Notes is a full-sheet skeleton of scaffolded notes for providing differentiation to your students.

✎ Plus, teachers have a fully-editable SMART Board® presentation that matches each lesson's note-taking format.

✎ Homework assignment

✎ Two forms of a Daily Quiz (can be used as a warm up, exit ticket, or homework check)

✎ Answer keys and directions for assembly of the foldable

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Observe using graphs and tables that a quantity increasing exponentially eventually exceeds a quantity increasing linearly, quadratically, or (more generally) as a polynomial function.
Construct linear and exponential functions, including arithmetic and geometric sequences, given a graph, a description of a relationship, or two input-output pairs (include reading these from a table).
Recognize situations in which a quantity grows or decays by a constant percent rate per unit interval relative to another.
Prove that linear functions grow by equal differences over equal intervals, and that exponential functions grow by equal factors over equal intervals.
Combine standard function types using arithmetic operations. For example, build a function that models the temperature of a cooling body by adding a constant function to a decaying exponential, and relate these functions to the model.
