This lab will guide your students step-by-step through how to graph exponential functions. (It does assume that they know how to substitute and have seen an exponent before.) This is perfect for group work, for at-home learning, or for when you will be absent. Students will see patterns that occur when vertical and horizontal shifts occur. They will also see how the shape of the graph changes, depending upon what happens to a and b in y = ab^x. Students will be challenged to think for themselves, yet this will not be so difficult that they give up.
