This is a powerpoint file with an editable double-sided page student notes. ( WORD file)
The zip file includes:
A 64 slide powerpoint that leads the lesson
A double-sided student notes sheet to work along with the presentation
A page of "group" problems
I originally made this on my interactive board, then took screen shots to make this powerpoint for a colleague. That's why there are so many slides (66!). Instead of annimation, each new slide adds a step of the problem.
The Powerpoint lesson:
1. Frame shown on thumbnail preview
(when to use dotted line & which side to shade)
2. 3 Example problems to do together
equation given in y-intercept form
Ex 1 + 3 plot intercept and 2 more points from slope
Ex 2 makes a little t-table of points to plot
3. Group Practice
Each student gets 1 problem to try (1 ninth of a sheet - file included)
Students get together with their group to compare and correct answers.
There are 6 different groups - designated by a symbol.
There are NOT answers for the groups
4. Independent Practice
Students try the 3 problems on their paper
Click Powerpoint to show solutions
5. 2 multiple choice questions
(I use my student response system for these)
There are NOT teacher notes. It is assumed that the teacher knows how to graph inequalities & can narrate during the examples.
If you happened to use ActivInspire software, I could email you that file in addition to the powerpoint.
