This is a single-sided quiz with 3 questions over graphing inequalities in slope-intercept and standard form.
The students are to graph 3 linear inequalities, but also answer questions along the way. The first question is written in slope-intercept form. The student is asked to identify m & b, graph the inequality and then name any 3 solutions. On question 2, (x + y < 4), the student is once again asked to identify m & b (do you they know how to isolate y?). Then they are asked if two specific points are solutions. Finally, on question # 3, the student is given an inequality in standard form and asked to identify the intercepts and graph the inequality. Next, they determine if two given points are solutions. All 3 questions ask the students if the line is solid or dotted.
Even though this quiz is only 3 questions, there is enough that the student has to answer and do to give you a comprehensive look at whether they know how to graph an inequality or not and if they understand what it means to be a solution. Key included. 2 pages.
