Practice shading two-variable linear inequalities and systems of inequalities with these 8 real world tasks. Using information given in a story, students write inequalities, graph the solutions, give examples of solutions, and answer questions.

These are great to use for partner work, individual practice, or assessments.

4 sheets are two-variable inequalities and 4 sheets are systems of inequalities. A blank template is included, so students can create their own inequalities!

Answer keys are included.

These activities are an excellent way to practice math word problems.

Log in to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Graph the solutions to a linear inequality in two variables as a half-plane (excluding the boundary in the case of a strict inequality), and graph the solution set to a system of linear inequalities in two variables as the intersection of the corresponding half-planes.
Represent constraints by equations or inequalities, and by systems of equations and/or inequalities, and interpret solutions as viable or non-viable options in a modeling context. For example, represent inequalities describing nutritional and cost constraints on combinations of different foods.
