In this activity, students are given a description of eight lines. The lines can be horizontal, vertical, in slope-intercept form, in standard form, or parallel/perpendicular to a given line. There are two different sets of lines--an A set and a B set. Students complete one set or the other independently. After graphing their set of lines, they give their graphs to a student who graphed the other set of lines. Each student checks the other's work by matching a correct description card to a graph. Some of the cards will not be used. Students will have the opportunity to discuss and correct mistakes before gluing their cards down.
