What educators are saying

My students loved this activity and were very engaged. I loved the various levels that I could use to differentiate for my students. Thank you!
I loved that it was differentiated so I could use it with student with different ability levels. The students liked "earning" the treasure.

Description

Students will graph several linear equations for treasures! Each equation is shown in either slope-intercept form or standard form. Students may have to solve equations to graph the line based on the level they are completing. This activity is SELF-CHECKING and includes 3 DIFFERENT LEVELS so you can easily differentiate!

*Check out the entire lesson here!*

In this package:

- 3 different maps for 3 different levels:

Level I: Graphing equations in slope-intercept form

Level II: Graphing equations in slope-intercept form and solving equations in standard form (easy/medium)

Level III: Graphing equations in slope-intercept form and MOSTLY solving equations in standard form (medium/hard)

- ALL levels include graphing horizontal and vertical lines

How it works:

- Students graph several linear equations. They find the intersection of the two previous graphed lines which lands on a picture that either EARNS or LOSES them treasure. Determine whether they've graphed correctly by mini and total treasure count!

BONUS:

- available in grayscale AND full color!

GREAT for an introduction to Systems of Equations!

Possible uses: practice graphing in slope-intercept and standard form, review of linear equations, final project on linear equations, test prep, quiz prep

Graph proportional relationships, interpreting the unit rate as the slope of the graph. Compare two different proportional relationships represented in different ways. For example, compare a distance-time graph to a distance-time equation to determine which of two moving objects has greater speed.
