We use this paper in class as the notes for graphing linear equations on a coordinate plane. In 8th grade, they can't use a graphing calculator, so we teach them the plug-and-chug method of choosing x-values, putting them through the function machine, and getting the y-values.
We walk the students through the first page and then let them try the second page on their own.
You could also use this paper as a review or as a pre-quiz to see what students do or do not already know.
*Update - I found the original file and changed the name to "Graphing Linear Equations". I also added a key of sorts by giving an example for the first equation and filling in the steps.
