This powerpoint introduces students to the process of using x and y intercepts to graph a linear equation in standard form. Students warm up by plotting coordinates (intercepts) and generalizing what the points have in common. This leads to slides explaining how we can use zero to help find the intercept values. Following this is an embedded video demonstrating how intercepts can be used to create the graph. Additional example slides follow.
