This activity provides students with 8 error analysis tasks. Students will be presented with problems that are incorrectly solved or graphed and they must find the error, and correct it. Each of the problems includes a different error.
You will receive:
• 8 worked- out examples (with errors)
• Student Recording Sheet (I print these as a mini booklet)
• Answer Key (questions properly worked out)
This works as a great alternative to a worksheet! I post the questions on the walls around my classroom and let students rotate in partners. This allows them to get out of their seat and encourages discussion.
Graph the solutions to a linear inequality in two variables as a half-plane (excluding the boundary in the case of a strict inequality), and graph the solution set to a system of linear inequalities in two variables as the intersection of the corresponding half-planes.
This task works well as a supplement to my foldable for
Graphing Linear Inequalities (Foldable)
