This activity requires students to practice NEATLY graphing logarithmic functions. Students will graph 10 log functions, and will need to pick ‘nice’ numbers for inputs so they have integer outputs. Students should have an understanding of various transformations: horizontal and vertical translations, as well as vertical and horizontal reflections. After students graph each logarithmic function, they write the letter of the function next to the monster that it went through. Graphing log graphs neatly can be challenging, so I would recommend this activity for an Honors Algebra 2 or Honors Precalculus course (or for more advanced Algebra 2 or Precalculus students). The perfect activity for Halloween!
