Self-checking Card Sort/Card Matching Activity

There are 9 sets of 4 cards to match. Each set includes:
(1) An algebraic rule in the form of y=ax, y=x+a, x =ay, or x = y+a.
(2) Points plotted in Quadrant I of points that match the rule.
(3) A list of the ordered pairs that match the points that are graphed.
(4) A table that includes other points that are not graphed, but also satisfy the equation.

The graphs include a variety of scales. Some include fractions and decimals.

When printed with the algebraic rules and graphs on one side and the cute graphics on back, the cards become self-checking. Matching sets will have the same picture.

5.4(C) generate a numerical pattern when given a rule in the form y = ax or y = x + a and graph
5.8(C) graph in the first quadrant of the coordinate plane ordered pairs of numbers arising from mathematical and real-world problems, including those generated by number patterns or found in an input-output table
