Whenever I can, I like to give my students an activity to do in place of "taking notes." This worksheet gives students an opportunity to get notes about quadratics (such as the line of symmetry, the vertex, and so on), but get right into working with quadratics and graphing them.
I use this activity within cooperative groups, and I circulate to make sure they are getting the purpose of the questions.
This worksheet is intended for students to show their work on a separate sheet of paper.
Please download the pdf preview file first, so you can see exactly what's included; the product file is a word document, which you may edit for your students.
