This activity can be completed in stations, partners or individually. Students will graph 6 quadratic equations. They will graph them in standard form and then graph them again in factored form. They will compare their graphs and make observations based on the different methods.
I used this with my students prior to teaching factoring. This activity can be altered to investigate other concepts regarding graphs of parabolas (axis of symmetry, maximum, minimum).
Students could also use the quadratic formula as a third method.
