Graphing Rational Functions Scavenger Hunt
This walk around activity will help students practice identifying the key characteristics of rational functions and connecting those characteristics to graphs. Students begin the activity by choosing any one of the equations posted around the classroom, and the graph of that equation will lead them to the next station.
Each completed station leads the student to a letter. At the end of the activity, they circle all of the letters that they found to reveal a secret message!
This scavenger hunt requires that students be able to find vertical and horizontal asymptotes, slant asymptotes (optional), y-intercepts, x-intercepts, and holes of rational functions.
This download includes a 10 station scavenger hunt (provided in color and grayscale), instructions, a student answer sheet, and an answer key.
