Product Description

Hello Math Teachers! Worksheet focuses on reading a situation or story and comparing the changes over time to other variables like speed, distance, or temperature and matching to a graph. Students choose from one of three graphs making comparisons to match the correct situation to the correct graph. Focus on using functions to model relationships between quantities by describing qualitatively the functional relationship between two qualities by analyzing a graph including where the function is increasing or decreasing, linear or nonlinear. Students match a graph that exhibits the qualitative features of a function that has been described verbally.

This two sided worksheet has 15 matching questions and key.

I use this with my 8th grade Pre-Algebra math classes and as a review of functions with my Algebra 1 classes.

Aligned with common core standards and item specifications for Florida’s 8th Math FSA MAFS.8.F.2.5. TEKS, CST, PARCC, Common Core 8.F.B.5 Go Math G8, Glencoe, McGraw Hill, and Big Ideas Grade 8.
