Each graphing poster has 2 versions: one with a description at the top and one without. Some graphs are visually similar (data table/chart, circle graph/pie chart) so you can choose which wording you prefer. These are the graphs included:

Let’s Take a Survey

Students can survey their classmates and graph the results. There are 30 survey cards and 4 graphing templates included. An anchor chart has been included with the steps for this activity.

Spin, Tally, & Graph

Students will spin, then tally and graph the result on the page. There are 9 versions included. The pages can be used many times with different results

Count, Tally, & Graph

Students count and tally the objects on the picture page. Students graph the results and answer questions about the data. There are 9 versions and answer keys are included.

Practice with Graphs

Students will either read and answer questions or use the data provided to create a graph. Students will practice with bar graphs, pictographs, line graphs, line plots, and circle graphs. There are 14 worksheets, a booklet cover, and the answer keys are included.

Choose a Graph

Students choose a graph and complete a recording sheet where they interpret the data. There are 16 graphs included (4 per page).

Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
Draw a picture graph and a bar graph (with single-unit scale) to represent a data set with up to four categories. Solve simple put-together, take-apart, and compare problems using information presented in a bar graph.
Organize, represent, and interpret data with up to three categories; ask and answer questions about the total number of data points, how many in each category, and how many more or less are in one category than in another.
