Graphing Systems of Inequalities
I use this worksheet to help my Algebra students practice graphing and shading systems of inequalities. It is a two sheet download: On the first page the students are to graph the inequalities and shade to show the overlapping section and denote it as the solution. If they are not in slope-intercept form, the students are advised to first solve for y before graphing. There are also two problems with the graphs and shading of a system of inequalities is given to the students and they are to write the two inequalities, that would have produced the graph and shading.
On the second sheet is a word problem, where the students variables are defined for them. They have to write a system of inequalities for the situation, and graph and shade them. There are also a couple of questions that help the students test their solution on the graph.
