Do you need a graphing trig functions activity that allows students to work at their own pace, but also allows them to try more challenging problems? These task cards will help students master both sketching graphs of trigonometric functions and determining their characteristics.
More specifically, when given a sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, or cotangent function, students will:
• Identify the domain and range
• Determine the amplitude, period, phase shift, vertical shift, and asymptotes (if any)
• Determine whether or not there is a vertical reflection
• Graph the function
*Note: This activity asks students to graph functions of the form y = A sin (Bx - C) + D and y = A sec [B(x – C)] + D.
There are so many ways to use task cards in the classroom. I have included a few of my favorite ways to use them in the preview of this product, but feel free to use the cards however you would like!
This Resource Includes:
· 16 task cards (4 per page)
· 4-page student activity sheet
· Fully worked-out answer key
