This packet includes prompts and graphing pages to make graphing a little more interactive. All you need are items / manipulatives (counting bears, paper clips, buttons, etc.) to create the hands-on experience for your students.
Included in this packet:
- Survey Questions: Let students take part in the gathering and reporting of data. These surveys can also be made into picture graphs with the use of incentive stickers :)
- Sort, Count, & Graph: This activity is ideal for those that need the extra bit of movement and hands-on work. Prepare manipulatives to coordinate with the graphs and let students sort, count, and create a graph. This activity works as a center or a scoot game. I place the materials in ziploc style bags with a slide closure making it easy for little hands to open and close. I print the pages, cut in half, and assemble in books prior to beginning the activity so we don’t have to worry about losing pages.
- Interpret the Data Cards: Early finishers can analyze and interpret the data using the data prompts.
