This is an engaging graphing lesson that incorporates recipe reading skills. Students will work together to read a recipe, measure, and mix up a batch of trail mix. They will each take a scoop and use it to graph and answer questions. Fun for all!
I that I have done with kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders. I have also used it with 3rd and 4th grade special education students during summer school.
The ingredients are built in "manipulatives" to solve the math problems.
This set includes:
-2 pages of questions (2nd page can be omitted if it is not appropriate for your students)
-1 differentiation page (used in my class for a nonverbal special education student)
The questions can also be used as a center once the trail mix is made as a class.
