This is a 23 slide PowerPoint that I extend over 2 days. The beginning focuses on independent and dependent variables to help with the x and y axis in a science graph. Then, it progresses to charts and graphs. Labeling, using scales, and reading a graph is all covered. There is one short video link attached as well. All slides include animations. It's a great way to begin doing graphs in class, a refresher, or practice for standardized testing.
The graph, for an example, is on SPEED...but the PPT can be used for just general chart/graph knowledge.
The links to the two worksheets I use with this are in the "notes" of the slides.
