Are you in need of more authentic questions and practice for your students with the new graphing standards? This product includes 6 pages of questions (with answer sheets for each) that challenge students to analyze coordinate grids and answer higher level thinking questions about them. These sheets are differentiated and begin with simple graphing coordinates, move into graphing through input/output charts and moving across quadrant I through directions.
-Students are asked to graph ordered pairs in the first quadrant of the coordinate plane that come from real-world problems or patterns found in input-output tables.
-They will also describe attributes of the coordinate plane (x and y axis, origin) and describe the process for graphing ordered pairs and moving from one to another using key vocabulary terms such as: parallel, perpendicular, x-axis, y-axis, etc.
This document can be used for whole group lessons, small group, intervention, review for tests, or homework assignments.
I use these for small group lessons and homework with my fifth grade special education students.
This document is aligned to Texas: 5.8A, 5.8B, 5.8C
Common Core 5.G.A.1 & 5.G.A.2
