Description

Learning about the Periodic Properties and translating the graphs of the Sine and Cosine has never been so much fun. These new Comic Book style Fun Notes can be used as homework, assessment, or enrichment. This is a challenging and engaging activity for your students to learn and practice their skills! This resource is designed for Algebra 2, Trigonometry, or PreCalculus.

The notes cover

  • Amplitude
  • Period
  • Phase Shift
  • Vertical Shift
  • Reflection across the x - axis.

There are definitions and notes for your students to complete along with questions to answer and functions to graph. For differentiation I have included two versions of the definitions page, one filled in and the other for students to fill in. Typed solutions are included.

No Prep! Just Print & Go for your classroom or send off to Distance Learning Students, or use on TpT Easel.

When your students have completed the assignment, they can embellish the pages and show their creativity, if desired. It has been shown that doodling and working with fun themed activities help students engage with the material, and be more at ease in the learning environment. This is especially true in Mathematics.

Understand that restricting a trigonometric function to a domain on which it is always increasing or always decreasing allows its inverse to be constructed.
Choose trigonometric functions to model periodic phenomena with specified amplitude, frequency, and midline.
Graph exponential and logarithmic functions, showing intercepts and end behavior, and trigonometric functions, showing period, midline, and amplitude.
For a function that models a relationship between two quantities, interpret key features of graphs and tables in terms of the quantities, and sketch graphs showing key features given a verbal description of the relationship.
