The first activities provided in this resource allow students to practice analyzing bar graphs, line graphs and pictographs. The main focus of this product, however, is to compare information displayed in bar graphs and charts, pictographs and bar graphs and line graphs and charts. There are 12 examples of each type of graph/chart for students to compare. Students match the graphs displaying the same information Pictograph keys count by 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10. Bar graph scales count by intervals of 2, 5, 10 and 50. There is a 3 question exit ticket included to see how well students are able to compare the different graphs.
This product is aligned with 2016 Math SOL 4.14 c: compare two different representations of the same data (e.g., a set of data displayed on a chart and a bar graph, a chart and a line graph and a pictograph and a bar graph).
