Description

This HUGE file consists of 8 different sets of task cards- tally chart, frequency table, vertical bar graph, picture graph, horizontal bar graph, line plot, circle graph, and line graph. Each set comes with a printable clipboard with the graph students will use to answer the coordinating task cards. I included a set with QR codes in case you have a need for them now or in the future. Also included are several sheets you could use as an assessment.

My students work on these task cards during their independent math choice time. I include each set of cards and a few of the matching coordinating clipboard printables inside a container. They grab a container of cards and work either alone, with a partner, or a small group.

You can also post the cards around the room. When I use the QR coded cards, I have the students go on a scavenger hunt around the room with their recoding sheets and small copies of the graph clipboards, and complete all of the cards. Then using their devices, they scan each card and make the necessary corrections on their recording sheets.

***Included are color and black line copies, as well as a set of each with QR codes. You will need a QR code reader in order to use the QR code cards, but a set without QR codes is also included.

***Each set of this file is also sold separately!

Draw a picture graph and a bar graph (with single-unit scale) to represent a data set with up to four categories. Solve simple put-together, take-apart, and compare problems using information presented in a bar graph.
Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
