"Graphtastics" are a tool I created to infused mathematics into other subject areas. Many of mine focus on Social Studies, but there are other subjects represented as well. The activity often integrates some graphic representation of relevant data and asks the student to evaluate the data and respond critically to a short number of questions, addressing both the mathematical component and the historical (or other content-based) aspect of the material. It makes the interdisciplinary connections that the Common Core demands we begin to integrate more frequently.
This one specifically addressed the typical roles and responsibilities of men and women in families and was used in a humanities unit. They can be used in any way, but I often use them as warm up activities.
