Gratitude is the feeling of appreciation or thanks. Some positive psychology researchers report that there are social, psychological, and physical health benefits from expressing gratitude.
This activity will help students express and think of ways they are thankful for the people and things in their lives. A gratitude journal is a diary of things an individual is thankful or grateful for. While there is no wrong way to keep a gratitude journal, this resource provides a printable journal to help your students begin this practice.
Journaling can be completed anytime during the school day. For younger students, you may choose to have them draw a picture instead.
