In this hands on, interactive lab the students will be attempting to prove that the acceleration due to gravity on earth is 9.8m/s^2. Everything you need for the lab is here except for some of the hands on materials. My kids love this lab every year and I usually give a treat or extra credit to the lab group that can get closest to expected outcome.
The lab also helps prove to the students that mass doesn't matter, and all objects will fall to the earth at the same rate (when removing air resistance)
--Stopwatches (most kids use their phones to record times)
--Something to stand on (the higher they drop from the better)
--Safe yet different massed objects to drop
