Key Concepts: gravity, magnetism, distance, mass, free fall, Earth, inquiry, activity
Discover the force of gravity! Gravity is a force that every single object on this planet possesses. Even the smallest objects posses some degree of gravity. In this lesson, students will explore gravity and the factors that affect its strength- mass and distance. Students will discuss how gravity differs on other celestial objects and how it relates to the force of magnetism. The lesson concludes with a hands-on challenge asking students to design contraptions that will free fall slower than anyone else in the classroom.
Note- The black and white copy of the Free Fall Challenge was lost in a hard drive crash. So, it in not included in this download. All other black and whites are included.
