Winter Break is a great time to read a good book—just for fun. Take time before Winter Break to let your students share great books with each other. The Great Winter Reads activity helps them do that. But it's not only fun for students. This activity helps you build an archive of book recommendations, creates a community of readers, and reinforces that reading all kinds of books is fun and valuable.
Included here is the student activity sheet Great Winter Read, and Teacher Notes that outline one way to incorporate it in your class.
