Product Description
This fun, engaging Great Depression activity is designed to reach all levels of learners. The Power to the Students activity is broken into four sections of questions. For each section the students are directed how many questions they must answer. For example, one section lists four separate questions, but the students only have to select two questions to answer. It is their choice, and the students love being able to choose! Differentiation is implemented through the varying range of questions. Students can choose to identify a term in writing, or challenge themselves to create a song or rap about the term. The first time I assigned this activity I was sure most students would take the easy road and choose the less challenging tasks, but I was wrong! I am always amazed at the number of students that choose the higher-order thinking questions. The best part is when we check over our answers and students share their pictures, songs, raps, and skits with the class.
