This lesson transitions from the failed Presidency of Hoover and moves to Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s early days as president. In order for the President to gain the people’s trust he had to begin working quickly and show the people that he was there to do his best. This lesson deals with the banking crisis and FDR’s use of his fireside chats to communicate to the public.
